A moment in history May 16th 2010
Yes that's a rather pretentious title but I could not resist it.
The Sherlock Holmes Society of London has recently organised and uploaded a lot of photographs from its past. Amongst them was this one:
It's a bit grainy (and it is cropped from the original). It was taken in the Criterion Restaurant as part of the May 2010 events surrounding the Annual General Meeting of the society.
I am towards the front of the picture, on the right hand side with my back to the camera. It was probably within 30 minutes or so of this picture being taken that I turned to my wife (on my immediate left) and said I had been persuaded to write what became An Entirely New Country.
