Undershaw - June 2015
I was recently in the Hindhead area and decided to have a look at Undershaw.
For some time now, the house has been hidden behind high wood paneling which makes it hard to see what's going on (the paneling is still there).
Well this is how the house presently looks from the driveway gates.
The hotel extension from 1924 has been demolished so, externally, the house now looks as close to its original configuration as it has for 91 years. Rather depressingly the garden has been torn up. We can only hope that it is later restored. Presently the house looks like it's sitting in the middle of a quarry.
I saw the rear of the house from the nearby crossroads and it did not appear to be all that much different from before the panels went up.

Since the above post was written, I've been told that a landscape gardener has been recruited to restore the garden in due course.
