Young Sherlock Holmes

2026 will see the new Sherlock Holmes series on Prime.

I will admit, now that I have seen the trailer, I have my concerns.

My concerns, currently, are:

1) Making Holmes and Moriarty friends. This is a silly idea in my opinion, especially as Moriarty is clearly some years older than Holmes in the books.

2) Making Holmes out to be like Roger Moore's Bond with witty quips, some of them sexual. I have no doubt they'll come up with some reason why he's like this (and, later, stops being like this) but I wish they had not done it.

I admit to not having read Andrew Lane's books so I have no idea if this is faithful to his interpretation or not. I will watch it and, hopefully, enjoy it.

But it is not honouring the spirit of the original works if the trailer is any indication.

Let's see.
