85 years ago today, we lost Arthur Conan Doyle to a heart attack.
This is one day every year that Sherlockians around the world should stop playing the game. Conan Doyle was not the literary agent. He was the creator, in effect, of an entire world. A world in which we all delight and which has provided many of us with a career.

Sometimes I find it very hard to believe Conan Doyle was a man just like one of us.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that he created Sherlock Holmes without even actually wanting to (atleast after a while) makes me wonder about what 'awesome' stuff we humans are capable of.
