Why do I do this to myself?
Anyone who was present at the recent Stoddart Dinner will know how worked up I was about my talk.
You'd think that it would get easier each time and I've done quite a few talks now but, for me at least, every occasion is a clean slate.
The nerves I suffer can be down to my perception of what's riding on an event, where it is, how many are attending and so on.
So, for some reason, I found myself tentatively agreeing to give a talk in May next year.
What on earth am I doing?
