A great honour
Yesterday I received my latest Log from The Sydney Passengers and it contained a nice surprise.
It contained the news that I, along with five others, have been nominated for the 2013 Carole Dukes 'Montpellier' Award.
This award is somewhat similar in scope to the SHSL's Tony & Freda Howlett Award in that it recognises non-fiction Sherlockian Scholarship.
In my case I am being nominated for my article The Hound of the Daffodils? which examined the claims for a Welsh connection with The Hound of the Baskervilles.
The award is made in May and, at the risk of sounding like an actor at the Oscars, it is an honour to be considered.
