What is the future of the new Russian Sherlock?

Well Wikipedia (if it can be trusted) states that the actor who plays Watson in the new Russian Sherlock series died at the beginning of the year.

Sixteen episodes have been filmed and are due to broadcast in Russia in the Autumn of this year.

But what happens next?

Will the series be stopped and confined to the sixteen episodes or will they recast Watson?


Does anyone know?
